2026 SUMMER WORKSHOPS

We’re hosting two summer workshops in Madison this year. Click the headings below for information and links to register.

Dates: June 23rd and 24th, 2026

Are you planning to start using the Legislative Semester, pilot some elements of the program, or just interested in learning more?

This interactive workshop is designed to provide an introduction to the core principles and practices that lead to deep student learning and engagement. We’ll learn and practice, so you’re familiar with some of the core materials and resources, and have the confidence to use the “gavel from day 1!”

Orientation Highlights:

1. Practice leading a class discussion using Parliamentary Procedure

2. Preparation to hold your own Committee Hearings

3. Opportunity to connect with experienced teachers who have used the LegSem for years (or decades).

Dates: June 24th and 25th, 2026

Any teachers with experience using the materials and methods of the Legislative Semester are encouraged to register for this workshop.

Our third annual summer Community of Practice workshop will feature a mixture of learning, discussion, and action planning. Our goals are to create community among teachers using the Legislative Semester, share ideas and resources, collaboratively address challenges, integrate best practices, and explore high quality resources.
